Ocean Partners announces investment in MK Metal Trading Holding.London UK, October 4th, 2011 – Ocean Partners Holdings Limited (“OPH”) is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Grupo Arizan to acquire its shareholding in MK Metal Trading Holding S.A. de C.V. (“MKH”). MKH is a collector of base metal concentrates from small and medium-sized miners in Mexico and Peru with the capability to blend the various concentrates to specifications required by their international smelting customers. They also control a milling complex in the Ancash region of Peru. Jeffrey Beck, Chairman and Managing Director of OPH, is quoted as saying “We are extremely pleased with the pending investment in MKH. While both OPH and MKH trade in base metal concentrates, we believe that MKH services a market niche untouched by OPH. We are looking for MKH to continue ‘business as usual’. MKH’s client base is loyal to the brand (also known as Nexxtrade) and OPH intends to retain all senior managers at MKH, including Nelson Pastor (President) and Wilfredo Núñez (Executive VP) to operate as a separate and independent organization to OPH.” Nelson Pastor, MKH’s CEO, added “We view the investment by OPH as a very positive development for the long term health of our organization.
